Jack Coleman, 79, of Fort Smith died March 11, 2011, in Fort Smith. He was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Little Rock to Grady L. and Reba Marie Farrill Coleman. He was a retired professional engineer for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, a member of the Arkansas State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict and an active member of Goddard United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Royce of the home; three daughters, Terry L. Branham of Springdale, Alva E. Corley of Greenwood and Rebecca L. Allison of Fort Smith; two sons, Neal Jack Coleman and Bailey M. Coleman, both of Fort Smith; one sister, Dorothy A. Kirk of Fort Smith; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Allison, Ron Branham, Mike Corley, Caleb Burton, Lewis Farrar and Tim Farrar.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home today from 5-7 p.m.
