Don C. Holmes, 81, passed away on Saturday,
May 19, 2012. He was born on July 1, 1930,
in Fort Smith to John and Mildred Holmes.
He was retired from Phillips Petroleum, was
a member of Harvest Time Tabernacle and
attended Living Word Church in Van Buren.
Don was a devoted member and promoter of the
Nifty Fifties and an energetic organizer of
and contributor to the Nifty Fifties' high
school class reunions. He was a member of
Gideon International.
Don is survived by his wife of 61 years,
Mary Lynn Holmes; his sister, Paula Evans
of Hackett; one brother, Ray Lee Holmes of
Altmonte Springs, Fla.; and many other
in-laws, nieces and nephews.
